Football is life - pass it on

Using the power of football to unite and empower people

Football is Life – pass it on aims to make a sustainable, local contribution to improving communities in Africa and other developing areas. The foundation seeks to achieve this by using the unifying power of football as a means of community building, empowerment, and knowledge sharing.

Football serves as a vehicle to:

  • bring people together physically and strengthen social cohesion;

  • create safe and inspiring spaces where community formation can occur;

  • support initiatives focused on personal and societal development, such as leadership training, communication skills, health education, and psychological support.

The foundation focuses on neighborhoods or regions affected by poverty, exclusion, or a lack of basic amenities and strives – in collaboration with local partners – to contribute through sport to hope, connection, perspective, and structural progress.

Football as a starting point and core:

Football is always central. The foundation sees football as a powerful tool to connect people, build communities, and stimulate development. All projects and initiatives originate from this connecting force.

Collaboration with solid local partners:

The foundation only collaborates with local non-profits that are demonstrably well embedded in their community, have a sustainable structure, and proven experience with vulnerable target groups.

Project plans as basis for funding:

Each supported project is based on a jointly developed project or policy plan. This outlines objectives, approach, budget, resource allocation, and expected outcomes clearly.

Transparency in all financial processes:

The foundation maintains strict transparency in all financial flows, both toward donors and toward African partners.

Sustainability as guiding principle:

Projects are designed to continue long-term without constant external funding and are aligned with local and ecological conditions.
